Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Etrenzik ("Etrenzik," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit etrenzik.com (the "Site"), use the Etrenzik smart home mobile application (the "App"), or otherwise interact with our products and services (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Scope note. This Policy covers both our website and the Etrenzik mobile application, which allows you to pair and control compatible Wi-Fi smart home devices. Sections marked (App) apply specifically to the mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

  • Contact and quote requests: name, business name, email address, phone number, project details, and any information you include in a form or message.
  • Account information (App): email address or phone number, password, and profile details used to create and access an account.
  • Newsletter signup: email address.
  • Business and order information: billing and shipping details, purchase history, and related records when you transact with us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used to operate the Site, remember preferences, and measure performance. See Section 6.

Smart home device information (App)

  • Device and pairing data: device name, type, model, firmware version, and unique device identifiers for smart home products you add to your account.
  • Local network information: during setup, the App uses your local Wi-Fi network to discover and pair devices. Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and credentials you enter are used to provision the device and are transmitted to the device and the device cloud service to complete pairing.
  • Device status and control data: on/off state, settings, schedules, scenes, and event or alert history generated by your devices.
  • Push notification tokens: used to deliver device alerts and notifications to your mobile device.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Pair, configure, monitor, and control your smart home devices (App).
  • Send device alerts, status changes, and push notifications you have enabled (App).
  • Respond to inquiries, quote requests, energy audits, and support requests.
  • Process orders, fulfillment, warranty, and rebate-related administration.
  • Send service communications and, where permitted, marketing communications you may opt out of at any time.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Third-Party Platform and Device Services

Our smart home application is built on the Tuya IoT platform, which provides device connectivity, cloud control, and pairing infrastructure. When you use the App to pair or control a device, certain information — including account identifiers, device identifiers, device status, and pairing data — is processed by Tuya in order to deliver the service. That processing is governed by Tuya's privacy policy in addition to this Policy.

We also use service providers for hosting, content delivery, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers and platform partners who perform services on our behalf, as described above.
  • Installation and contracting partners where necessary to schedule, quote, or perform work you have requested.
  • Legal and safety purposes: to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Etrenzik, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your direction or consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Device and event data associated with an account is retained while the account remains active. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate core functionality, remember preferences, and understand usage. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; disabling them may affect Site functionality. We honor applicable browser-based opt-out signals where required by law.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access, correction, and deletion: you may request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information.
  • Account deletion (App): you may delete your account and associated device data. Contact us using the details below and we will process the request.
  • Marketing opt-out: unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email, or contact us.
  • Push notifications: disable at any time in your device's system settings.
  • Regional rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the GDPR, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain processing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any right, contact us at the address below. We will verify your request as required by law.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS) for data exchanged with our Services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us using the details below.

10. International Users

We are based in the United States and operate our Services from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
